A Word about the Past ......

It would have been an Easter weekend opening.if not for the 14 inches of snow the week before.  We had started thatching, mowing and rolling some of the greens, before Mother Nature threw us that curveball!    Once we did open, what a great season for weather - lots of sunshine!  The course is still very lush.it's a shame winter is on the way!

Many thanks to our members and guests for a great season!  We hope you have enjoyed being here, and look forward to having you back with us again in 2008.  Work has continued to improve the course, and we appreciate that you have acknowledged all our improvements.

Some of our improvements this year have been the following:

*  Added the greens roller to our maintenance equipment
*  4th hole:  Added new mounds and paved entire cart path
*  9th hole:  Improved runoff drainage
*  12th hole:  Improved drainage in middle of fairway
*  16th hole:  Built swale to help with drainage and runoff
*  17th hole:  Cart path improvements and paving
*  Improved drainage in various bunkers
*  Improved gravel cart paths to help with spring opening

We truly hope these improvements will significantly contribute to make golfing more pleasant at The Meadows!

And, A Word about the Future ......

Please check out  the membership rates for the 2007 season on our Fees Web Page.

Stay tuned for new, and returning, games for the upcoming season.  The Skins Games and Sunday Scrambles went pretty well this summer, and will be back for next year.  There has been some interest in trying to bring back Member/Guest and Member/Member events, plus we have other ideas which sound promising.  The Turner/Meadows Challenge seems to be up in the air due to low turnout, maybe we should replace it with a Fall Classic of some variety?  We will be sorting through the details while the snow flies.

We will do our best to keep you informed of what we have upcoming.  If you do use email, make sure to include it in the space provided on the 2008 Membership Application, being mailed in early January.  (I apologize for getting sidetracked this spring from updating my email address book, but I will make sure to make this my winter project!)  We also are looking into adding a webpage to list upcoming events.

Let us assure you that in the months and years ahead we will still do our best to consistently provide you with quality golf at reasonable prices.  We will work to treat others as we expect to be treated - with fairness, respect, honesty and support.

Thank you, once again, for your business in the past.  We look forward to serving you again in the future!  You are important to us.
